The violin has been the open door in my life to amazing people and different cultures. After performing ten years overseas inspiring me to transition my in person studio to an online studio, I am proud to say that I have touched and taught over a million violinists globally.

One of the things I am most often asked is, “How effective is teaching violin online?”
In 2010, I had a precious seven year old student who begged me to teach her via skype while I performed overseas in the summer. I refused the first year because I thought, how effective can it really be. However, she was persistent and finally I gave it a go in 2011. When a student of mine had a breakthrough playing scales from watching my training video in which I was saying the same thing to her in person…I knew how effective video training truly was. Other students of mine joined the bandwagon and I witnessed even more rapid progress when I supplemented lessons with video training.
As my online presence grew, my younger audience transitioned to adult violinists, majority are female and retired. Many female violinists who studied at the University became moms or had careers and stepped away from the violin. Other adult students of mine transitioned to the violin from other instruments and others are professional violinists themselves with private studios on the quest for better violin technique education.
With my 10 years experience teaching violin online, I have found what works and what does not. The creation of my online Academies is the extension of that very first training video I made. Now violinists all over the world can work with my teaching methods and experience daily breakthroughs when it comes to technique and tone.
I firmly believe that we are the instrument to the instrument. You have to bring your whole self into picture for a thriving violin journey. Studying the violin is in essence getting to know more about yourself and you can choose to do that in a loving or not so loving way. Perfectionism may work at first but will lead to burnout-ville. Believe me, I know firsthand.
Balance is key and a violin journey without self acceptance, nurture and love is a violin journey that will eventually break.
Most importantly, I believe that no matter what your dreams or obstacles, you have the power to change your violin journey and, by doing so, you’ll most likely change your life.
Coming into alignment with who you truly are is key to a thriving violin journey…perhaps it may not go in a direction of your design but it may go in a direction of Divine design.
Every day for me is a day of self exploration and vibrational healing, I am constantly expanding my own ideas about what it means to live a fully creative and meaningful life.
